My favorite part of writing is getting to explore different perspectives on topics. A Little About Me: Hey, I’m Aidan and this is my third semester at the Writing Center. I’m from Laurel, Montana - just a hop, skip, and a jump down I-90. I am a sophomore here at MSU studying microbiology with a concentration in environmental health, as well a minor in English writing. Outside of class, I am a big reader and love to spend as much time outdoors as possible. As a tutor, I am here to meet your needs, whatever they are and wherever you are in the writing process. A Little About Me: I’m from Homer, Alaska. I enjoy hiking, knitting, camping, drinking tea and pretty much anything that involves crafts or the outdoors. I also have always enjoyed reading (lately I have been going through a memoir phase) but when I was younger, I did not like writing much because I really struggled with my spelling. A Little About Me: I was born and raised in Billings, Montana's “big city.” Science and English courses are generally my favorites, but specifically, I love chemistry! Outside of school, I enjoy crafts and drawing; currently, I am learning embroidery. I also enjoy hiking, hammocking, and playing pickle-ball. As a tutor, I want to help you with your points of need. A Little About Me: I grew up in Minnesota, but I live in Bozeman almost year-round (much to the chagrin of my cat Nilla, who remains in MN). During the semester, I spend a lot of my time tutoring at both the Writing Center and Math and Stats Center. When I’m not working (or doing homework in either Miller or the Library), I am often going on long walks, crocheting, listening to music, and cross-country skiing to destress. I love learning new things, and I love tutoring because of how much I am able to learn with and from everyone I work with; I look forward to meeting you!

A Little About Me: Hey there! I am a senior majoring in photography and minoring in writing! Although I am now studying the arts and humanities, I started as a stem major, so I really love writing and working across different forms and genres!  On campus, I’m involved with Alpha Omicron Pi (sorority) and Fuerza Latinx (cultural club). Outside of the writing center, I love hiking, kayaking, and sitting down with a good book!

A Little About Me: I have been at the Writing Center for 7 semesters and will graduate this Spring. I am from Western North Dakota, a place that I hold very close to my heart. A Little About Me: Hi there! This is my third year at MSU, and my first in the Writing Center. Through my coursework I have honed an avid fascination for creatures both living and dead. I believe writing to be among the most versatile tools at our disposal, especially in sharing passions and curiosities with others. Outside of school and work, I love playing the French horn, looking for rocks, and reading about historic polar voyages. I have several tattoos, including a crawdad, a raccoon skull, and the H.M.S. A Little About Me: Hi, I’m Hailey! I grew up in Kalispell, MT, so I love to spend time outside in the area I’m from. Apart from school and work, you can find me hiking, paddleboarding, or spending time with friends! I’ve always enjoyed writing and learning how to use it as a tool to communicate my thoughts and ideas. I’ve practiced writing in all kinds of areas, STEM, business, and of course literature and English. One of the most exciting parts of tutoring is the exposure to so many different types of writing. A Little About Me: Hi, I’m Mackenzie. I live in Kodiak, AK and I love being in creative, collaborative spaces. At home in Alaska, I am a commercial salmon fisherman, an apprentice picture framer, and an avid beach comber. Living in a small coastal town has been very special to me. While at MSU if you can’t find me at the Writing Center, I’m probably playing saxophone in the campus jazz band or dancing with the country swing dance club. I am really moved by music and could talk forever about the details in my favorite albums. My attention to detail helps me find my motivation to write and I look forward to helping others discover that same feeling.

A Little About Me: Hi, I’m Mahpara! I am an international student from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I am a fourth-year undergraduate at MSU studying Physics. A fun fact about me is that I speak four languages, and so I am constantly translating everything in my head to express myself! I love to read and write fiction and poetry, and I am really excited about working in the Writing Center! When I am not working, I spend my time doing Astronomy research, watching movies, and listening to music. As a non-native English speaker, I understand the struggle one faces when it comes to academic writing in English, and so I hope to bring with me the passion that I share for writing to make the process a little less daunting!

A Little About Me: Hi, I’m Sasha! I’m a first-year student studying biochemistry (and love it). My childhood was spent between Portland, Oregon and various locations in the Middle East and Europe, including Tbilisi, Jerusalem, and Moscow. If I don’t have my head stuck in a chemistry textbook, you can find me drawing, struggling through a yoga routine, or blasting music at full volume (anything from Bob Dylan to Bauhaus to Beastie Boys). As a bilingual person who has spent a lot of time around a myriad of languages and multilingual people, I understand just how difficult it can be to utilize language to your needs; so, I am excited and eager to collaborate with you!
