Description of Request

Submitted By: Sarah Shannon, Dean of MRJCON

Dr. Sally Moyce conducts research on immigrant access to health care and organizes quarterly mobile health screenings, with the next one scheduled for the end of October. These screenings require significant equipment, including tables, chairs, privacy screens, and heavy machinery, which must be transported. Currently, she does not have a dedicated lab space, resulting in her lab supplies being stored across multiple locations in Sherrick Hall, where lack of elevator access presents logistical challenges. Additionally, her project personnel, research associates, and graduate students lack dedicated office space.

Rooms 329 and 330 in Culbertson Hall are currently vacant and meet Dr. Moyce’s needs. Room 329 can serve as an office, while room 330 is suitable for research purposes without requiring renovations. The building is accessible by elevator, with several options for building access. Furthermore, the location is adjacent to the Montana Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and Health Professions Advising, fostering potential collaboration. Several meeting spaces are available nearby for private consultations and meetings

Resolution
