Teacher of Record:

Contact the Director of Field Placement if a school district contacts you regarding their need for you to serve as “Teacher of Record” while student teaching. 

Process:

  • Request an Emergency Authorization for Employment through OPI and provide MSU with a copy of emergency certification (ARM 10.57.107) 
  • Provide a draft or actual copy of employment contract 
  • Provide an MOU: “Student Teacher Proposal for Open Position (1.0 FTE)” on District letterhead.

  • Responsible for all EDU 495 requirements, including seminars, REP requirements, and final presentation.
  • Release from classroom duties to complete work and attend in-person requirements of the class is necessary.
