HILL COUNTY 4-H FOUNDATION

     The Hill County 4-H Foundation is selling raffle tickets for a trip for two for five nights in Nashville, Tennessee.  There are only 400 tickets being sold for $50 each.  If you are interested in purchasing a ticket or two, please contact the MSU Hill County Extension office or one of our 4-H Foundation officers/directors. Drawing will be September 30, 2024.

THROUGH THE
HILL COUNTY 4-H SCHOLARSHIP FUND

     The Hill County 4-H Foundation works to ensure the longevity of the Hill County 4-H program and its investments.  The 4-H Foundation Board of Directors has dedicated time to making the Hill County Scholarship program a priority.

     The 4-H Foundation awards two - $750 scholarships and two - $500 scholarships yearly to Hill County 4-H members who complete an application.  Applications are evaluated and scored by three community members.  The money for the scholarships is generated by the sale of the scholarship plaque at the livestock sale each year.  The surplus funds are placed in a scholarship savings account with the intention to always have funds available to offer scholarships.

     With the future in mind, the Hill County 4-H Foundation board voted to transfer the money from the savings account into an endowment this year.  The goal of the endowment account is to ensure we can continue to give scholarships far into the future with hopes of increasing both the amount of the scholarships and the number given.

     The 4-H Foundation currently holds $35,000 in the endowment and when the endowment reaches $65,000 based on the current market, the scholarships will be funded off the interest.

     The hope is this explanation of how the funds are raised for the Hill County 4-H Scholarships and how they are given back to our 4-H youth will inspire you to continue supporting the Hill County 4-H program.  If you have any questions or would like to donate to the Scholarship endowment, please contact one of the 4-H Foundaion Directors or the MSU Hill County Extension office.

4-H BRAND RESOURCES

     The 4-H brand tells the world who we are and has a great impact when used correctly.  The 4-H brand uses a precise 4-H clover in a certain color.  Specifics on approved logos and colors can be found at www.montana4h.org/resources/4-H_brand.html.  If you are making a flyer and need logos or clip art sent to you, we are happy to do that.  Call the Extension office to make that request.
