Secretary’s report-Kristi Davis to accept minutes as amended. Star Ironside second, motion passed.
Chadlee Update on the fishing club, adding kids. Working on fundraising. Asking for
additional funds to get a raffle going. Email vote on funds for camp tackle boxe.s
Treasurer’s report-None
Bills- Burger for camp To Passmore and Glacier. Kristi Davis moved to pay the bills, Emily Hall seconded, motion passed. For more information on bills paid, please contact the Flathead County Extension Office.
Pavillon Update- donation came in from Lakeview Livestock 4-H Club. For more information on Pavilion
donations, please contact the Flathead County Extension Office.
Extension Report- 12 counselors for CPR training at $25 apiece. State congress is happening soon.
Secretary's Report -Kristi Davis to accept minutes as amended. Star Ironside second, motion passed.

Camp- Thank you to Dandy Dudes and dolls, new curtains for the cabins. Thanks to all who came out on Memorial weekend work. Fall Camp workdays- Jill Kahanek move to obtain that date October 10th Kristi Davis seconded, motion passed.
Council - All buckles have been ordered; the awards banquet will be September 20th. A judge has been contracted for the fair; they are from Kansas. The Foundation is providing scholarships for Flathead members to attend State congress in Bozman. The buyer’s breakfast will have buyers only area. The hospital will be donating breakfast burritos again. Graduation cords are in. The Murdoch’s money has been received from State 4-Hoffice after the thank you were approved. A new 4-H agent has been hired and starts 6-8-2026. The council is thinking of changing the frequency of a monthly meeting, leaving out August and combing November and December meetings, for a total of 10. Vice-President and Treasurer will be up for reelection in September. The next meeting will be delayed to 7-30-2026 due to 4-H camp. Stir-up contest will be cancelled if there aren’t more members signing up. The Little Chief and Hand to Heart Award interviews will take place at County Congress. Graduation cords have been ordered for graduating seniors. The fair awards committee is adding more buckles for the small animal barn. Buyers breakfast committee hasn’t met yet. The next Council meeting will be May 28, 2026.
Extension office- new agent to start June 8th.
Old Business - Pay for 23 youths for State congress and 3 leaders. 2 camp scholarships.
New Business - Accepted into the Great Fish, launch party August 11th 2026, start getting things
together for the boothTransportation for county congress- Table for prices.
Spaghetti dinner November 14th. Kristi moved to amend the motion to have the spaghetti
dinner on November14th to check on new venue Jill seconded the motion, motion passed.
Fishing funds- Tackle, shirts and a banner.
Transportation for county congress- Table for prices.
Fall Camp workdays- Jill Kahanek move to obtain that date October 10th Kristi Davis
seconded, motion passed.
Spaghetti dinner November 14th. Kristi moved to amend the motion to have the spaghetti
dinner on Novembe14th to check on new venue Jill seconded the motion, motion passed.
Fishing funds- Tacke, shirts and a banner. Wally Moved to fund the fishing projects.
Jill seconded, motion passed.
Scott Hinkley, talking to a guy about Conex boxes for storage 5 door, less than cost.
Jill, thanks for golfcart, Update on the dirt, got 3 loads. Updated grantee form for
funds used. Hit Big Fork for Pavillon. Woodshed needs transport from FFA- Scott going
to call. Star moved to adjourn, Kristi seconded, motion carried.

Email vote- Mark Campbell moved to approve a certain amount of funds for supplies for this educational
program. This would be reimbursement to him upon presented receipts. For fishing Workshop
at camp. Kristi Davis seconded the motion. Motion carried. Wally Moved to fund the

Flathead County 4-H Foundation Scholarship Application
Scholarship opportunities:
Four - $500 scholarships for Graduating High School Seniors
(Must be an active Flathead 4-H member in good standing)
Two - $500 scholarships for Current College / Trade School Students
(Must have been an active Flathead 4-H member in good standing upon graduation from high school)
Please check the box for the scholarship you are applying for.
All scholarships must be used during the 2026-2027 academic year. The Scholarship Committee reserves the ability to adjust the quantity of awards per category based on submissions received.
Please complete this scholarship form in its entirety. Typed answers are preferred. Treat this as you would a job application. You may attach additional sheets of paper if your answers exceed the space allowed. Applicants must be currently attending or plan to attend a college, trade school, or other institution of higher learning during academic year 2026-2027.
A complete scholarship application packet must include the following:
- scholarship application
- letter of reference with a minimum of one from a 4-H Leader and a minimum of one from a person outside of 4-H.
- summary/resume of your 4-H accomplishments (i.e. projects, awards, trips, events, activities, etc.) and school activities.
The complete scholarship application packet must arrive (not postmarked) at the Flathead County Extension Office no later than 4:30 pm Monday March 30, 2026.

Interviews (required for consideration) will take place in early to mid-April. The Foundation selection committee will contact you to schedule a date and time. Awards are expected to be announced no later than May 1st.

announce an opportunity to affirm your
place and provide a legacy for the
future at the Flathead County Fairgrounds!
Make your mark in the walkway that leads into the Grandstand Building. Have your family name, a 4-H member’s name, your business or organization’s name engraved in a brick on the walkway. You could even choose to engrave a brick in honor of someone special or create a family treasure for generations to come. We have lots of people that have spent much of their life in and around 4-H over the years and many have come through the grandstand building on their way to a livestock sale, or in support of one of their family members involved in 4-H. So honor your special friend, loved one, or family member with a commemorative engraved brick that will last forever in the walkway to the Grandstand building. Placement of the engraved bricks on the ground will be random.

Duties of the Board of Directors
1. The duties of this board shall be to care for the affairs of the Foundation during
periods between regular meetings of the Foundation. The Board of Directors shall keep
an accurate record of its proceedings and report same to the members at the next regular
meeting.
2. The Board shall authorize such expenditures as are herein provided for.
3. To assist in securing finances for the Foundation.
4. Board of Directors shall have a minimum of four meetings a year.
