Topology for Data Science: A Workshop for Undergraduates
On April 21-22, 2023, the Topology for Data Science (T4DS) workshop will take undergraduates on a tour of the data cycle, from the perspective of a topologist. The workshop will comprise four Carpentries-style episodes. The day will conclude with a reception, where a panel of four faculty members representing topology and data science will discuss their experiences with including undergraduates in research and potential career opportunities in data science. After the panel, the students, panelists, volunteers, and organizers will be able to freely network.
This workshop is supported by the National Science Foundation under Grant No. NSF 1955925.
