Commuter Meal Plan Info
Save time and money with our commuter plans and enjoy the same great dining options and convenience as residence hall students.
Who is eligible?
Commuter plans can be purchased by off-campus students, University Student Apartment
residents, faculty, and staff on the Montana State University campus. Plan holders
can share and use their meals for co-workers, colleagues, family members, and other
guests. Plan holders must be present to share transactions. Block meal plans are non-transferable
between semesters and cannot be transferred to an alternate individual.
Locations, hours & menus
A meal swipe can be used during any meal period at either Miller or Rendezvous Dining
Hall. For locations, hours and daily menus visit our Residence Dining Hall page.
A commuter meal swipe can be used at Bobcat Court in the Strand Union Building. For location and hours of operation, visit our Retail Operations page.
Purchasing a plan
A valid CatCard & GID number are required to purchase a plan. Plans can be purchased online here – please allow one business day from sign up for plans to be active on your CatCard.
All plan charges will post through student accounts within 3 to 5 business days. Payment may be made online through QuikPay in MyInfo or by calling 406-994-2942. Payroll deduction for meal plans is not currently available.
Plans must be paid in full before additional meal plans may be purchased.
Meal plans are only valid for the semester in which they are purchased and will expire at the end of the semester.
What is the cancellation/change policy?
Cancellations or changes must be made within two weeks of the initial purchase date
and must be requested in writing. Please email catcard@montana.edu to submit a request change or cancel. For cancelations - you will be refunded the
amount of any unused meals at the per meal rate for the plan. Refunds can take 3-5
weeks to process through the Business Office.

UseFULL reusable to-go bowl program
Available only for valid meal plan holders. Commuter plan holders participating in the UseFULL program will be required to utilize two meal swipes in order to check out a container.
Limit 1 container check-out per person/per day. Charges will apply to your account if bowls are not returned within 48 hours after checkout. Download the UseFULL app to get started.
Residential Meal Plan Info
Sign up for your meal plan at the time of your room & board selection. Meal plan costs are included in your room & board rate. All plans provide unlimited access to the all-you-care-to-eat residential dining venues during operating hours. You may choose from the following options:
7 day Plan
Bobcat Gold | includes $150 CatCash
Bobcat Silver | CatCash not included
5 day Plan - Monday through Friday
Bobcat Copper | includes $150 CatCash
Bobcat Bronze | CatCash not included
Changes
If you find the meal plan you chose does not fit your needs, you can upgrade your meal plan at any time through the "Forms" tab of the Housing
Portal. You can downgrade your meal plan before the following date:

Resident Guest Meals
Additional meals can be charged to the student's CatCash account for a discount of
$2 off the regular priced meal. Students requesting this discount rate must have in
their possession a valid CatCard with sufficient funds in the CatCash account.
