Medsafe Blue Box
The pharmacy has a MedSafe Blue box for safe disposal of unwanted and unused medications.
Too often, unused and expired medications find their way into the wrong hands. That's dangerous and often tragic. Bringing unused and expired medications to a collection site protects you, your family, your friends and your community.
How to use:
Just stop by a collection site and drop your items into our bin. That's it. No questions are asked. You can be in and out in minutes. We suggest using a black sharpie marker to darken out your name on the prescription bottle.
What to bring:
Prescription and over-the-counter medications may be disposed of at our pharmacy’s MedSafe Blue Box, including:
- Capsules
- Creams
- Non-aerosol sprays
- Ointments
- Patches
- Pills
- Vials
- Liquids must be in their original container. No liquid containers more than 4oz. placed in a plastic baggy.
Items not accepted:
- Anything containing blood or a bodily fluid
- Household hazardous waste (paint, pesticides, oil, gas)
- Illegal drugs
- Iodine containing medications
- Mercury thermometers
- Personal care products (shampoo, soaps, lotions, sunscreens, etc.)
