Controlled Unclassified Research Training 

Montana State University conducts CUI training through Canvas. In Canvas there are two courses provided:

  1. Controlled Unclassified Training (CUI)
  2. Export Control Training

To sign up for either one of these courses first contact: researchsecurity@montana.edu

* Once you are assigned to the course, you will have access to both the above assignments and choose the assignment required for your specific job.

How to complete your assigned training

After being assigned to the course log into canvas and go to the Research Security Training Course (Figure 1) which would bring you to the training page (Figure 2)

  • For Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Training - Go to the Modules and Take the CUI Training and CUI Quiz
