Kath Williams

Kath Williams has served as a faculty member, assistant to Vice President of Research Bob Swenson and was the principal investigator on a major MSU National Institute of Standard Technology grant in the 1990s. She was named a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Fellow in 2011 as one of the first 34 in the world. Williams led the MSU teams that enabled the Cooley Lab renovation, Jabs Hall, Miller Dining Hall, Gallatin Hall and Yellowstone Hall to earn LEED certifications. Currently, she is working on Norm Asbjornson and the new residence hall in their pursuit of LEED certification. Williams can be found sharing her sustainability experience in MSU architecture, engineering, business and Gallatin College classes. She helped found and sponsor the MSU student chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council and offers LEED exam preparation workshops so MSU students have a head start when they graduate. In addition, Williams devotes many hours as a volunteer on the board of trustees of the Museum of the Rockies and will start as president in October 2018.

Kath Williams has worked endless hours to enable MSU to achieve sustainability in its new buildings and has shared her expertise with students at MSU.
