Introduction and Purpose:
Montana State University is committed to good stewardship of its resources and to conducting its affairs with integrity. This policy is intended to allow for smooth transitions for university and campus CEOs by establishing a continuing practice of transition audits being conducted to assure that any major risk, governance or control issues are identified and addressed.
Policy:
Whenever there is a transition in service of the MSU president or the chancellors or CEO of the affiliated campuses (excluding interims), the Office of Audit Services will conduct a risk-based transition audit to inform the incoming president, chancellor or CEO of any major risk management, governance or control issues that may need to be addressed at the outset of the new campus administration.
