Climate Action Plan (2011)
MSU's Climate Action Plan (CAP) focuses on reducing green house gas emissions associated with campus operations and related travel. Additional priorities include enhancing climate change related education, outreach, and research. This wedge chart shows the cumulative effect of MSU's energy initiatives on greenhouse gas emissions. MSU plans to achieve a 20% reduction of 2009 baseline greenhouse gas emissions by 2025 through efficiency initiatives. The plan was first published in Oct 2011 and will be revised as needed. MSU will assess progress and additional goals on a biennial basis.
