The fitness center was conceptualized, along with the SUB renovation, in 2005 when students approved a fee to update and improve the facilities. Renovation was completed in May of 2008 and landscaping is currently taking place.
The project increases the space for both weight equipment and cardiovascular equipment. In addition, there are 3 group fitness areas that will host aerobic, spinning, Pilates, yoga, kickboxing, and several other fitness classes. Technology was improved with the addition of televisions and audio systems in cardio/weight areas and new and improved equipment was added to each of these spaces.
