What is the First-Generation Service Excellence Award?

Part of what makes Montana State University such a special community is the number of people working towards inclusion in different capacities. To honor some of this work, whether it is through research, advocacy, action, allyship, engagement or support, the First-Generation Committee wants to recognize exceptional leaders on campus that arebreaking down barriers, advancing cultural appreciation in our community, or model excellence in first-generation leadership.

Nominations for the 2025 First-Generation Service Excellence Award will be accepted until 11:59pm on April 2, 2025. Please ensure that all nominations are submitted by the deadline to be considered.
