Sections: Course Evaluations open from Monday, April 25th to Friday, May 6thAs you get ready for the close of the semester and the opening of course evaluations, we wanted to remind you of some resources that can help you with your students before course evaluations. When the course evaluations open on April 25th, please encourage your students to complete the evaluations by sending them reminders and setting aside class time to complete the evaluations. Note that you can provide students with the direct link to your course’s evaluation by going to your CampusLabs account and grabbing the link underneath the course. You can also check response rates here.
Also, take a look at the Teaching Tips for ideas on how to wrap up the semester with your students.

Undergraduate Research MentoringMonday, May 23 || 1:00 – 3:00 pm || TBD Facilitated by Jennifer Brown, Associate Professor, Chemical & Biological Engineering and Nika Stoop, Program Lead – Research/Scholarship, Center for Faculty Excellence Looking for some ideas on how to best mentor undergraduate students in research? This two-hour session will go over principles for undergraduate mentoring: aligning expectations and assessing understanding. We will suggest some tools and practices to help you and your students navigate the mentor relationship.

Common Threads MeetingTuesday, April 19 || 12:00pm - 1:00pm || Reid 123 or Webex: https://montana.webex.com/meet/b97x665 We will be having a Common Threads meeting on Tuesday April 19th to discuss an new initiative called Building Family. For those who can attend in person, lunch will be provided by HHMI, thanks to Mari Eggers. The goal of Building Family is to partner Indigenous students with faculty/staff to develop relationships that build family and community during the students’ journeys at MSU. Stakeholder Meetings for the Director Position in the Diversity & Inclusion Student CommonsSenior Diveristy Officer, Ariel Donohue, and Vice President, Chris Kearns, will be hosting finalists for the Director of Diversity and Inclusion Student Commons position the last few weeks of April 2022.
