Logic models are:
- A tool for thinking through what you want to do and why, and how the activities will
lead to the desired outcomes.
- A framework for describing the relationships between investments, activities and results.
Elements of most Logic Models
Logic models can:
- Nest, one within another
- Assist project evaluation.
Strategies for evaluating your logic model
- Starting at inputs, ask why at each succeeding level
- Starting at outcomes, ask how for each preceding step
- Are resources realistic? Assumptions valid? Are key stakeholders accommodated?
- Does your model display a cultural bias for positive causality without grounding evidence?
