On May 7, 2025, Montana State University adopted a new Equal Opportunity, Non-Discrimination and Harassment Policy. The Policy is available at https://www.montana.edu/policy/onemsu/discrimination/. 

For complaints alleging conduct that falls within the scope of Title IX (Appendix B):

  • If the conduct is alleged to have occurred entirely prior to May 7, 2025, the complaint will be adjudicated under the procedures outlined in Appendix B, but utilizing the definitions of Prohibited Conduct in the Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation Policy;
  • If the conduct is alleged to have occurred, at least in part, on or after May 7, 2025, both the definitions and procedures outlined in Appendix B will apply.
