College of Business students offer marketing support to area businesses and non-profit organizations
Montana State University’s College of Business seeks local businesses and non-profit organizations that are willing to offer business students practical marketing experience during the upcoming spring semester.
Participating students are enrolled in a senior-level course, MKTG 447, Marketing Mix, which runs from January 11 to May 4. During the four-months, small teams of students analyze marketing elements of new or existing products and services. Each project is customized to the organization’s needs in areas such as target market research, pricing and competitor analysis, distribution and web site evaluation, or promotional activity development. Organizations need to commit to approximately four monthly meetings with the students during the semester in exchange for documented research and proposed recommendations.
The MSU College of Business is taking applications from all interested organizations until December 14, with notification of selection results no later than December 23.
