Kramer receives bronze medal for her work
Dr. Bonita Peterson Kramer's Work Received Lybrand Bronze Medal
Dr. Bonita Peterson Kramer s manuscript, "Advancing Your Business by Establishing an Effective Internal Audit Department," which was published as the cover story in the April issue of the Institute of Management Accountants' (IMA) international journal, Strategic Finance, has been named the third-highest-ranking manuscript in the Lybrand Competition. As such, Kramer, along with co-authors Hugh Pforsich, Ph.D., of California State University Sacramento and Mr. G. Randolph Just, CPA, CMA, CIA, CFE, CISA, CCSA, an internal auditor in Minnesota, will receive IMA's Lybrand Bronze Medal for their work.
Kramer is not new to the competition. In 1998, she received the IMA's Lybrand Bronze Medal for her work, Why Take the CFM Exam? For each of the past two years the IMA has honored her work with a Certificate of Merit for two other papers she co-authored.
The top three papers receive the Lybrand Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals. Certificates of Merit are awarded to worthy papers as judged by the Lybrand Committee that do not rank in the top three.
Kramer will receive her award at an awards luncheon on Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at IMA s Annual Conference in Las Vegas.
Kramer plans on writing another fraud paper for the IMA at the completion of the summer term.
