Anne Christensen honored as the Beta Gamma Sigma Professor of the Year
Anne Christensen, professor of accounting at Montana State University-Bozeman College of Business was honored as the Professor of the Year during the awards ceremony of Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS), a national scholastic honor society for business students.
Current members of Montana State University-Bozeman BGS chose Christensen for this award. Criteria for the selection are that the professor demonstrates outstanding teaching qualities and follows the BGS mission, to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business and to foster personal and professional excellence among its members.
"Anne has found a way to make the tax code interesting, said Jennifer Kopec, Beta Gamma Sigma student president. "Her classes are very organized and she shows genuine concern for her students."
BGS was founded in 1913 to encourage and reward scholarship and recognize the accomplishments of business students at AACSB accredited universities. It promotes the advancement of education in the art and science of business and fosters integrity in the conduct of business. Qualifying for membership is a high scholastic honor for students of business. To be eligible, students must rank in the upper seven percent of their junior class, the upper ten percent of their senior class or the upper twenty percent of their masters program.
