Jim Alderson is next David B. Orser Executive Speaker Forum Guest Presenter
Bozeman native Jim Alderson, nationally known as "the Erin Brockovich of the healthcare system, will speak at the David B. Orser Executive Speakers Forum at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, March 23 in room 108 of Reid Hall on the Montana State University campus.
Alderson will also speak to members of the Noon Rotary Club on March 23 and will speak to the general public at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 24 in the Tschache Room in the Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce Chamber Center. All lectures are free, and with the exception of the Rotary Club speech that is only open to members, the lectures are open to the public.
Alderson is an MSU-Bozeman graduate and a CPA with an extensive background in health care. He has spoken throughout the country on health care compliance issues. His role as a whistleblower in the Columbia/HCA and Quorum Health cases began when he was chief financial officer of North Valley Hospital in Whitefish. Alderson's discovery that the organization kept two sets of books resulted in the biggest health care fraud case in history. Alderson has been featured in the New York Times, Modern HealthCare and on 60 Minutes with Mike Wallace.
The College of Business' David B. Orser Executive Speaker Forum sponsors Alderson's MSU lectures. The session at the Chamber is co-sponsored by the College and the Small Business Resource Committee of the Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce.
