Marina Calabrese’s career has been shaped by her passion for writing, which first ignited in high school under the guidance of an inspiring teacher, Mr. John Souza. After majoring in Marketing/Merchandising at the University of Bridgeport, Marina expanded her writing to include research papers, advertising copy, and marketing campaigns. In 2012, she earned a graduate certificate in Technology and Communication from the University of North Carolina’s School of Journalism and completed several courses toward a master's in the same area of study.

In 2016, Marina moved to Seattle, WA, where she spent two years in an organizational coaching program to enhance her consulting skills. This experience strengthened her ability to mentor young professionals and guide businesses through leadership development and cultural transformation.

Today, Marina teaches BMGT 205 Professional Business Communication and BGEN 104 First Year Business Seminar at Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship. She enjoys making meaningful connections with students and helping them navigate the ever-changing demands of the modern workplace. Outside the classroom, Marina coaches students in the Bracken Center, combining her love for writing, teaching, and mentorship.

In her free time, Marina enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her family, gardening, fly-fishing, hiking, and cross-country skiing.
