Kate Lain awarded Director’s Choice Third Prize
A film by Kate Lain, a graduate student at Montana State University in Bozeman, has been awarded Director’s Choice Third Prize at the 28th Annual Thomas Edison Black Maria Film + Video Festival. Black Maria’s 2009 national tour, which also includes one stop in Italy, kicked off at New Jersey City University on February 6.

Daniel Smith, former MTA graduate and President of Earthtalk Studios invites students and alumni to showcase their films on the new video community website ThisIsBozeman.com. You can register on the site and upload your videos to the MSU Film School Category. The site will continuously feature various projects in the Indie Films Section, and on the homepage.

Dawson Dunning wins a Fulbright
Congratulations to Dawson Dunning as he is our 4th MFA student to win a Fulbright Fellowship! During a 10 month period, Dawson will be based in Wellington, New Zealand at Victoria University of Wellington where he will develop a documentary film about Maori traditional ecological knowledge of two sensitive New Zealand species.
