General Introduction 

The interdisciplinary Asian Studies (AS) Major and Minor draw on an array of departments at Montana State University, from History & Philosophy and Modern Languages to Sociology & Anthropology and Earth Sciences. Though the program is listed in the College of Letters and Science, it is managed by alternating departments, designed to meet the interdisciplinary challenges of today’s world. The program will be housed in the Department of Modern Languages & Literatures during the first year.
